I think they need to sort out the process way before that. Students should be prepared in their senior year and encouraged to find out what they are interested in, instead of this out-dated points system where anything goes just to get the points to a course that’s popular and not suitable to the student.

Record companies should learn from this… or maybe they should just release better songs and not pump crap on-mass. Quality over quantity and if people support these artists, they’ll pay for the stuff.

Seriously, the article did say it’s switching from manufacturing to software and services, that’s the “smart economy”. The so-called “smart economy” does not equal manufacturing, when will the government learn? *face palm*

I hear of cringe stories about nuns and couples in pre-marital courses. It’s going to be more stringent, I wonder how much more cringiness can they fit in. Surely they can bring in someone with experience to counsel couples in these courses.

GAMER Expo →
I didn’t even know this was on, when I saw the headline in the indo about some Game exhibition closed ‘cause of safety regs, I though it was GAMEON (at the Odeon). Was wondering why they had “Expo” in the headline. I’d love to go if they have an alternative venue.

Listening to #newstalk, still so shocked that homophobia is still rampant with young people in this day and age. Glad to hear that kids get to go to debs where they can just be themselves. Reason why Catholic church should not run the schools in the country.

Study: Doodling Helps You Pay Attention - TIME →
I remember back in 5th class, I was doodling away as per normal, and Ms. Geoghegan stopped the class and picked up my copy book and showed everyone and encouraged me to keep drawing. I thought that was embarrassing and awesome at the same time. A teacher who doesn’t mind people doodling in class, in face, encouraging it.. well, if you have a knack for something, Ms. Geoghegan would encourage...

Maybe they should investigate how the Far East teach Maths in school. From my encounters with friends & family, pupils who keep saying they are not in the top percentile of the class in HK, yet when they come over here (Ireland/UK), they are top of the class in Maths. The thing that amazes me sometimes is that they are not even trying (that was experience when I was going to school).

In US, people believe that seeing clothes hanging out would lower the property values in the area as they assume that those households don’t have a dryer. What a load of *beep*! What a waste of electricity. I only use the clothes dryer if it’s necessary, but dry the clothes outside if possible. Reading this article really is a *facepalm* moment.
