Well, I caught up with our postman the other time minutes after he dropped the docket, and he said our package was too heavy for him to lift from the van, so I had to pick it up from the An Post sorting office anyway. Go figure… /facepalm

So garlic bread is not bread? I though it was bread with garlic butter baked in it. The Finance Dept doesn’t think so, anything that did not “generally conform to the ingredient definition of bread” is not considered as bread. It’s not just garlic bread, bagels, croissants and other similar baked products don’t fall in the category of bread. Will there be an increase of people make their own at home? Or are Irish people just take it in the jaw with this VAT increase and just blame it on rip-off Ireland?
