My experience of walking around Orlando with my hubbie’s mom and her dog was an experience. No wonder she walks the dog so early in the morning (aside avoiding the hot Floridian sun).
Aside from yokels in their pickup trucks whistling and shouting something obscence while beeping their car horn, crossing the roads is an extreme sport. Especially when it’s a turn right if it’s a red for cars, you really have to leg it. My mother-in-law told me that sometimes had to pick up her dog and run across the road as her dog takes her time walking across it, and cars don’t really slow down. Well, she’s moved to a nice part of town in Orlando and we haven’t visited her there yet. It sounds nice and pedestrian friendly, even has a bicycle lane!
It’s amazing how fast and so many images of Obama and pint of Guinness appears on the web since yesterday! Google images for “Obama Guinness” - http://bit.ly/m95Sli
Can’t believe they wrote that in the last bit of the article!
Ooh, an excuse to go to Universal Studios again. New updated HD spidey ride and Despicable Me ride.
Hello Kitty, Japan’s world famous cartoon icon of super cuteness, will now have its own theme park outside of Japan. Following recent announcements of Shanghai Disneyland, the Hello Kitty Park will open in China 2014.
A first on foreign soil, the outdoor theme park will cost US$215…
There’s a WoW themepark?? Yowsers, now that’s hardcore. Yeah, so’s Hello Kitty.
Had a go doing a few quick searches on “Irish Chinese”, “Irish Born Chinese”, “Chinese Ireland”. The results were pretty disappointing. May keep an eye on this and try it every so often. I wonder what other people think of it?
Going to Code Retreat? Check out some of the tools and frameworks that maybe used on the day.
If you have anything to submit, fill out this form. That would be really helpful for us to plan out the day. Thanks!
I’m not even really into shoes but I so want to try some of these
Will keep this forever. :D
If @micktwomey does decide to on a Caribbean cruise (in the distant future), we can try this lionfish in Grand Cayman. You never know, it may catch on and it’ll be available in more restaurants over there. Why waste a fish they are culling ‘cause it’s invasive. Reading the article on how they breed, they are far worse than guppies. The lionfish eggs are not palatable to local fish, and scientists haven’t noticed any natural predator skewing the ecosystem. So anyone for “flash fried fillets of lionfish”?

Gita and Romans represented about their company, Agile Technologies, to talk about Agile Toolkit. Romans is happy for people to download the toolkit and provide feedback. It’s free to download and try out. So pass the word around if you are a developer who just wants to get on with coding the backend without having to worry about what it looks like design-wise, or if you are a designer, you can change the themes without affecting what the developer is working on in the backend.
