We, Cantonese speakers and HK-ers, have lots of weird ways of saying things! Many expressions/slang are unique to our language and some can’t be expressed in written Chinese!
Some of My Favorites -阿茂整餅 - ”Mr. stupid makes cakes”, means doing something pointless/stupid
炒鱿鱼 - “Fry Squid”, means to get fired from a job
吹水 - “Blow Water”, means to brag
